Does this career, taken as a whole, provide enough of what matters to me? That can include meaningful contribution, appropriate income, growth, useful skills, a compatible environment, relationships, stability, autonomy and personal values.
A good career does not have to produce constant happiness
It should, however, be worth the overall investment of your time, energy and abilities.
