Personality vs Natural Gifts
Personality and natural gifts are related to self-understanding, but they describe different things.
Personality concerns relatively consistent patterns in how a person tends to think, feel, interact and respond.
Natural gifts concern abilities or capacities that may come more naturally to an individual.
Personality
Describes consistent patterns in how you tend to think, feel, interact and respond. It is more about your manner of operating than your capacity to perform specific activities.
Natural Gifts
Describe abilities or capacities that may come more naturally — areas where activity seems unusually easy, effective or instinctive.
Why they are not the same
Someone may have a quiet, reflective personality while possessing a strong natural gift for leadership. Another person may be highly outgoing but not naturally inclined toward organizing complex systems.
Being introverted does not mean someone cannot lead. Being extroverted does not mean someone is naturally persuasive.
How they work together
Personality can influence how you express yourself. Natural gifts can provide clues about what you may naturally do well. Both can provide useful information, but they should not be treated as the same thing.
