Should You Choose a Career Based on Job Demand?
Job demand matters. A field with strong demand may offer more opportunities than a field with very limited openings. But demand alone does not answer: "Will I be able or willing to do this work well?"
Demand does not establish fit
A highly demanded career can still be a poor personal fit. Conversely, a field with fewer openings may still be worth pursuing if a person has strong fit, differentiated capability, and a realistic strategy.
Use demand as a reality check
