What Is Design Thinking?
Design thinking is a human-centered approach to solving problems through understanding people, defining the problem, generating possibilities, creating prototypes, and learning from testing.
A common process
Empathize → Define → Ideate → Prototype → Test. The stages should not be treated as a rigid straight line — testing can reveal that the original problem was misunderstood.
Why it matters
Design thinking helps teams avoid solving the wrong problem. It is especially useful where user needs are uncertain, several solutions are possible, experimentation is affordable, and feedback can improve the solution.
A skill can be developed. But understanding how a capability connects with your natural gifts, values, and possible career direction can make development more intentional.
